A good antivirus is must for all PCs.

Most of the home computers either do not have any antivirus or dead antivirus. But those PCs are regulerly connecting to internet. As a result of which several severe or minor problems crop up. But as most of the user do not have the roll of antivirus, they ignore the fact and the problems aggravates. If you see the following problems in your PCs, then it may be due to virus activities.
1. Slows down PC
2. Frequent freezes
3 PC hangs
4. Automatically home page changed
5. File saved in the PC, mut now not found.
6. Pc is not opening ( Booting problem)
7.Pc is behaving irratically
8. File size increases or decreases.
9. Operating System crashes frequently
10. One or more windows funtionality damged or corrupted
11. One or more system file either missing or corrupted
Several other problems may occur due to virus activitis. We name some common problems due to space constraint.
Now what one should do to protct Pcs from virus attack?
As virus is a damaging small programme written for disturbing or damaging your PC and it comes through any email, video, during chatting, during installation of new softwares etc, you must have a good reliable antivirus programme installed in your PC and that should be updated daily for new virus databases and programe functinality.
An old backdated antivirus is more dangerous than not having an antivirus. So mere installation of antivirus do not solve the purpose. You must see that the antivirus is updating regularly.

Desk Top vs Laptop

Now a days a craze has come to buy laptop. Everybody is thinking to buy laptop. As a result of which laptop selling in the market increases day by day.

However, there are certain advantage and disadvantages of Laptop over desktop computers.

1. Laptops are not very durable compare to desktop. Laptop is very delicate.
2. Laptop is convenient to take anywhere. So the persons require computer while moving must buy laptop.
3. Mouse is replaced by fingure in laptop, as a result, it is incovenient to operate specially for new users.
4. Desktop can be repaired by the user even for hardware faliure. But laptop is very difficult to repair at home due to lack of proper tools.
5. Laptop has its own limitation in attaching several devices as there is limited scope for attaching various devices. However, in desktop you can add several devices at ease.
6. Laptop is inconvenient for children where as children can easily operate desktop.
7. Desktop is more reliable than laptop. and desktop is more hardy than laptop.
8. For presentation purpose outside home, laptop is better.
9. Laptop is costlier than desktop
10. Laptop occupies very little space

You can buy either laptop or desktop considering the above facts.

Introduction to Computer field

A computer is a electronic device which can solve any problem by accepting data(input), performing certain operations on that data and presenting result ( output)of those operations.

Depending upon the operation process, a computer is generally either analog or digital. Analog computer can measures physical properties. Speedometer of a motor vehicle is the ideal example of analog computer. But digital computer can perform mathematical calculation , compare values and stores result. These are highspeed computers.

A computer system includes-1. Hardwares, 2. Softwares and 3. Liveware. Hardwares include-a) Computer, b) Primary Storage, c) Secondary Storage, d) Input Devices and e) Output devices. Softwares include System softwares and application softwares. LiveWare means the computer operators.

Depending upon the size, the computers are three types:

A) Large Computers

1. Super Computer

These are most expensive and powerful computers and they are used to handle vast quantities of data. For raiway reservation, super computer is being used. It has nearly unlimited memory. For raiway reservation, super computer is being used.

2. Mainframe Computer

These computers are less expensive and less powerful than super computers. They are being used in a company to handle less quantity of data. Here many users can operate same computer at a time. It has less memory than Super computer

3. Mini computer

These are further less expensive and is being used to handle limited quantity of data in a small company. It has very less memory in comparison to super computers.

B) Small Computers- Microcomputers or PC( Personal Computer)

Tese computers are cheaper, smaller and contain less memory than other computers. It can be operated by a single user at a time.
